2023 Knowlton Literary Festival

Local Authors Event

On Thursday October 12th Brome Lake Books hosted the 2023 Knowlton Literary Festivals Local Authors event, where people could come by in the evening and meet FIVE local authors.

It was standing room only and we thank everyone who came out and participated.

The local authors participating in this year's festival were as follows:

Garry Hamilton is a writer/artist whose first book is called: Fireworks on the Ninth Floor. His writings and art are "reflections of my observations, of life happening near me, and faraway."

Matthew McCully has over a decade of experience in community journalism and is currently Managing Editor of The Sherbrooke Record and Brome County News. He also sits on the board of the Quebec Community Newspapers Association which represents and serves the needs of small local newspapers across the province.

Camille Nicola Isaacs Morell is a business leader, volunteer and artist who loves to write. In her first published book Pastels & Prose, she combines her talents in art and writing that takes readers on a thoughtful, joyful journey of exploration of places near and far, through vibrant depictions of landscapes, sunrises, sunsets, flora, and fauna and the short stories that inspired their creation.

Ross Murray is a editor/publisher/writer/playwrite, who has written three collections of humour and two novels. His most recent novel is Smileyville, is a funny, heart-warming story about community, family, love and not having a choice in the matter.

Stéphanie Ho-Yi Wang and her two sisters are of Cantonese descent and have written Asian Vegetables, to introduce gardeners, cooks, and vegetable lovers of all flavours to wider sources of sustenance.
